The World’s first fully compostable net bag

Giró, as a world’s leader in horticultural packaging systems based on net and highly oriented to the new product development, has been working in the biodegradable and compostable materials research and packaging systems for the last five years.
Research is bringing a return and today we can offer a compostable knitted net, a printed compostable Girfilm and, therefore, the possibility to make the world’s first fully compostable net bag
Currently the Giro compostable range comprises compostable knitted net (available in yellow, green, red, orange, white, black or natural) and Girfilm also compostable with the standard width range (75 mm, 90 mm, 119 mm, 130 mm or 145 mm) and can be printed up to 8 colors.
These compostable consumables allow us to produce compostable packaging like Girplus®, Girsac® or Ultrabag®.
To make compostable bags we need to use the last generation and leading edge machinery. This range can work with compostable materials thanks to its features:
•accurate welding conditions
•soft handling
•it is possible to print the variable data through a thermal-transfer printer.
