ΩBag - ‘WORLDSTAR FOR PACKAGING’ AWARD WINNER

The World Packaging Organisation – WPO-, in their last meeting held in November in Sri Lanka has granted the WorldStar award in the category of food packaging to the Omega Bag packing from Giró. This prestigious award recognizes the best initiatives for the packaging on a global scale. In the edition of 2009, after overcoming the corresponding national phases, they have participated 239 projects of 35 countries. Multinationals like Unilever, Danone, LG Electronics or Pepsico also have obtained the Worldstar Award in different categories.
The Omega Bag developed by Grupo Giró continues its successful launching path after it has also obtained the Liderpack award inside the event of Graphispack.

The Omega Bag from Giró is a packaging appreciated by its excellent features as it allows an excellent transpiration and content visibility, it is ergonomic –thanks to its high strength and convenient handle-, it is light and it is respectful with the environment since it is constituted in its totality by HDPE what makes it 100 % recyclable.
